Fantastic views across Akaroa Harbour

This graceful house, built in 1910, has recently been restored to a dignified and elegant standard.  One of Maison de la Mer's strengths as a bed and breakfast accommodation is its marvellous locality in the middle of Akaroa township overlooking the harbour.  We well remember sitting on the veranda in the evening with a glass of wine enjoying the tranquility and the view.

The hosts Bruce and Carol Hyland have used a combination of soothing natural colours, and furniture collected from their world travels. There are two luxurious guestrooms in the main house and a separate, self contained apartment with its own entrance. Each bedroom faces out to the Akaroa Harbour.

Once again another bed and breakfast that we would highly recommend and we would suggest that you try the breakfast menu.
